Internet Explorer

Reset IE7 to Defaults

If Internet Explorer 7 is unstable and generally doesn’t work properly, maybe it’s time to start fresh. Reset it to factory default settings.

By performing these steps, Toolbars, Add-ons, Cookies, History, stored passwords and temp files will be cleared out. Favorites and Group Policy settings are not affected.

  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools.

  2. Select the Advanced tab.

  3. Click Restore advanced settings.

  4. Click Reset, then Reset again.
