You are unabled to logon to your domain after a Windows Update
After applying a Windows Update, you are unable to logon to your domain.
If you try to join a workgroup, you receive:
The Revision Level is Unknown.
To workaround this behavior:
- Log on locally with Administrator privileges.
- Use the registry Editor to grant the your account Full Control of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY\Policy\Secrets\$MACHINE.ACC registry key.
- Delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY\Policy\Secrets\$MACHINE.ACC registry key.
- Shutdown and restart your computer.
- Log on locally with Administrator privileges.
- Join a WORKGROUP and restart your computer.
- Log on locally with Administrator privileges.
- Join your domain.
- Shutdown and restart your computer.
- Logon to your domain.
