Under My Documents, you'll fund a folder called My Music.

Right click, and select properties, then go to the security tab.

Next, go to advanced, then Owner. Click the button to take ownership of the folder.

You might have better luck if you use Windows Explorer to browse from the root of C: to the following path:

C:Documents and Settings\My Documents

I went to Windows Explorer from:

C:Documents and SettingsMy Documents and there was not "My Music".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later I downloaded a song, and saved it, under My Documents window
and found "My Music". From here (My Music) I could play that song.

Then I went to:

Windows Explore
C:Documents and SettingsMy DocumentsMy Music and could play the downloaded song.

But when I go to:

Start/My Music I could not play the downloaded song with the following message:

"C:5856673c52b5ee2fe1My Music is not accessible"

"Access is denied"

Please advise.

Thank you.

It's because the link your start menu is pointing to the wrong place. If you right click the entry on your start menu, and select properties, you should be able to change the target location, ie:

C:Documents and SettingsMy DocumentsMy Music

Good Morning Derek,

Sorry, but I could not follow your last message.

However, I went to:

C:5856673c52b5ee2fe1 and expanded I got

My Music

I clicked on My Music and ALL my songs were displayed.

I tried to play a song from this display and I got the following message:

"Windows Media Player"

Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is store, or your proxy settings might not be correct".

I expanded this message and I got: Error C00D11D2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After that, I went to :

C:Documents and SettingsOwner.ROBERTO.000My DocumentsMy Music

and I got the song I downloaded yesterday

and I could play it.

Please help me and tell me how to proceed.

Thank you.

Are you going to be around on Saturday morning, pacific time? Sounds like we need to set up another remote control session so I can see what you are seeing.

Derek,

I tried your suggestion and rebooted it.

I still had the problem.

So, I went to "Plan B" and under:

Documents and Settings/Owner.Roberto.000/My Documents/My Music and downloaded again, song by song.

I could play them from here.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went back to:

C:585667......./My Music and removed all the items shown there.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I ran "auslogics duplicate file finder" and found a "lot" of items, which I am afraid to delete.

I want to thank you, once again, for your valued help.
