Windows XP Home SP3 Internet Explorer 8 Outlook Express 6 Dell Dimension 2350 computer ======================== In December 2009 I did "clean install" using CD #3, which I got from Dell. =============================================================== (I received the following 3 CDs from Dell, in different ocassions:) #1.- Operating System. Reinstallation CD. Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, including Service Pack 1 (THIS WAS THE CD THAT CAME WITH THE DELL COMPUTER ).- #2.- Operating System. Already installed on your computer. Reinstallation CD. Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2.- #3.- Operating System. Already installed on your computer. Reinstallation CD. Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3 for Ultra Low Cost PCs. ============================================================== When I try to run : sfc /scannow, using CD #3, I get the following message: "WINDOWS FILE PROTECTION Files that we required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL Cache. Insert your Windows XP Home Service Pack 3 now" ================================================================ Please let me know what to do. Thank you.

Saturday, February 6, 2010, I decided to do a "complete clean install", using F12 key and with the help Dell specialist.

So far, the computer is running fine.
