Error accessing STF File while installing vb6 on my windows7

I have kept the software vb6 in D: drive while installing it a msg appears:

Error accessing STF File:Dsoftvisual basic6vb9vs98ent.stf

Plz help me.

Sounds like you are trying to run setup from a directory on your hard drive rather than the original installation media.

The quickest resolution is to burn the directory to a CDROM, and run the setup file from there.

Failing that, use the SUBST command to map a drive letter to the directory in question, ensuring that your setup program is in the root. Then run setup from the drive lettter.
