Troubleshooting DNS with NSLookup and dig

To be proficient at troubleshooting name server problems, you'll need a special tool to make DNS queries, one that gives you complete control. We'll cover nslookup in this tutorial because it's distributed with Windows Server 2003 and with many other operating systems. We'll also cover another query tool, dig, that isn't part of Windows. It provides similar functionality and doesn't suffer from nslookup's deficiencies.

Object Library not registered

I installed VB6 Ultimate on many my computers, 32/64, XP, Vista and now Win7. On HP win7 professional (installed some year ago) everything works fine (designa nd execution). I recentry got ab ACER 250 win7 ultimate and rre sto isbtall vb6 sp6 ultimate also into this PC. Compiled VB6 programs work fine (after some manual ocx, registration) however with the design environment not everyting works fine. Ie some ocx (like rictx32.ocx or mscomctl.ocx) cannot be used due to following advise "Object library not registerd". I tryed everything, disinstallin, reinstalling VB6, using MS FIXIT,VB6CLI, using professional SW to unregister them and to register them again. I even tryed to duplicate related REGITRY items on working HP passing them as .reg to Acer REGISTRY. Nothing to do. Always the same error. All ocx are on c:/windows/system32 folder. Whay else can I do?

VB6 and WIN7

I think I entered question in wrong spot. I have a vb6 program which an end user clicks a file name in the file box on a form(vb6 program in florida). The pdf is located on a separate machine in New Jersey. When they the click the fle name the vb6 calls a sql 2000 stored procedure on the NJ machine which executes a com on the New Jersey machine which renames the pdf and also copies it to another pdf using filecopy in the com in the same directory. The problem is that the file box on the form in FLA does not refresh so the old name is still there. After 10 seconds or so it will refresh.
