Install VB6 on Windows 8

As most of the world knows, Microsoft has made available a consumer preview of Windows 8. While this is still considered beta software, I highly recommend you check it out. Troubleshooting DNS with NSLookup and dig

To be proficient at troubleshooting name server problems, you'll need a special tool to make DNS queries, one that gives you complete control. We'll cover nslookup in this tutorial because it's distributed with Windows Server 2003 and with many other operating systems. We'll also cover another query tool, dig, that isn't part of Windows. Fold Code Manager into main KB?

I'm thinking about removing the separation of the Code Library and the main kb, folding the code library into the kb.  I think this would give a much cleaner experience, and one place to search for stuff, rather than two disparate libraries.

SWOOSH LOGOS

The swoosh is today probably one of the most used of logo design shapes, but remains popular. After all, no other shape conveys motion quite like a swoosh. Our advice is to select a swoosh logo that stands out from the rest. The more unusual/unexpected it is, the more it will rise above the noise and the more it will help differentiate your company. If you don't see your perfect swoosh logo on this page, consider one of our custom logo options. With a custom swoosh logo you have full control over the end product.

vb6 load problem

I have been running a VB6 application for several years on XP. I recently bought a window 7 computer and successfully loaded vb6 on windows 7. The program was running fine on windows 7. Out of the blue I get an "Error during load. refer to log" The log says "Line 15: Class MSComctlLib.ProgressBar of control pgbUpdate was not a loaded control class." I use a progress bar in two places in the program. I get this same error message twice during the load process. The program will run in the development mode. I do get an error break when it tries to run the progress bar. Is there a vb6 file that got corrupted?

Sooner or later I would have to move to Windows 7 so I am making the leap. Following the instructions in this site I installed VB6 onto Windows 7 64bit(I think) professional. On it I also have 32 bit(I am sure) Office 10 pro installed.
