If you want to control which programs Windows loads at startup there are a few places to check.

First, check the Startup folder under Start, Programs. Second, check the following registry keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Third, you can run the following command to review all of the above, plus .INI files:

msconfig
