When you are low on disk space Windows XP is nice enough to inform you of this. But once you are aware of the problem that should be it, right? Wrong, Windows XP continues to inform you. It gets rather annoying. Here is how to turn off the warning:

  1. Click Start, Run, then type Regedit and click OK

  2. Then Navigate to the following key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

  3. Then on the right hand side, right click then select New then DWord Value

  4. Name the DWord NoLowDiskSpaceChecks then double click on NoLowDiskSpaceChecks this and give it a value of 1

  5. Reboot your computer
