The default view when Windows Explorer is opened is the Libraries folder, which includes Documents, Music, Pictures, and Videos. I can't stand this view. Here's how to change it.

By applying this tweak, you'll get the drive view rather than the library view when opening Windows Explorer from the Start Menu.

  1. Click on the Start Button and type in Windows Explorer.
  2. Right click on the shortcut when it appears in the search results and select Properties.
  3. On the Shortcut tab, change the target to:%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /root,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
