This setting controls the amount of movement allowed between clicks, for two clicks to be counted as a double-click.
Open your registry and find the key below.
Create two new string values named: 'DoubleClickHeight' and 'DoubleClickWidth'. Set the these values to equal the size in pixels of the double-click area.
Log-off, or restart Windows for the changes to take affect.

Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
Value Name: DoubleClickHeight, DoubleClickWidth
Data Type: REG_SZ
Data: Size in Pixels
