FBI Director Chris Wray emphasized Beijing's unparalleled cyberespionage capabilities during a recent conference, stating that its magnitude surpasses that of all other major nations combined.
While U.S. authorities have consistently expressed concerns over Chinese cyber threats, Wray's statement offered a more direct and formidable perspective on the issue than previously heard.
"China's hacking infrastructure outpaces that of every other major nation combined," Wray noted. "Even if all FBI cyber agents and intelligence analysts zeroed in on China, we'd still be outnumbered by Chinese hackers by a ratio of at least 50 to 1."
