HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 update fails
I ran into a peculiar error when updating the Virtual Connect Flex-10 in my HP C7000 blade enclosure. Things looked fine the first time around, but after logging in to the web interface, one of the modules still showed the old version. Several reboots (through the admin interface) failed to fix the problem. Re-executing the upgrade process also failed to fix the problem.
The error shows as follows:
ERROR: Previous firmware update operation on one or more modules is not completed
I went around and around trying to figure out why. The solution? Re-seat the problem module. In my case, it was module 1 that was bad. By simply pulling the module out of the enclosure for about 30 seconds, and re-inserting, the update "completed", and I was able to view the proper information in the admin interface.
