Unable to Turn Off Out of Office


After turning on your Out of Office assistant, you may find that it won''t turn back off. You may be presented with the following error when attempting to turn it off:

The commmand is not available, see program documentation about to use this extension

To work around this problem, you can try these steps:

For Outlook 2003

From within Outlook click on Help, then select About Microsoft Office Outlook Select disabled items. Enable the Out of Office function (may be the only option) You will need to restart Outlook for changes to take effect.

For Outlook 2007

From Within Outlook, click on Help, then select Disabled Items. Enable the Out of Office function (may be the only option). You will need to restart Outlook for changes to take effect.
